Biology Major Tracks
"Tracks" are the different pathways to complete the biology major. Students can list one biology track of their choice on their transcript.
General Biology
The General Biology track focuses on the range of biological systems. General biology students explore various levels of biological organization.
Cellular and Molecular Biology (C&M)
The C&M track focuses on the cellular and molecular level of biological organization. C&M students study the microscopic foundations of life.
Physiological and Organismal Biology (P&O)
The P&O track focuses on the physiological and organismal level of biological organization. P&O students investigate organ systems and individuals.
Ecological and Evolutionary Biology (E&E)
The E&E track focuses on the ecological and evolutionary level of biological organization. E&E students study populations and environmental interactions.
Computational Biology (CB)
The Computational Biology track focuses on analyzing biological data. CB students use coding and mathematical modeling to make insights about biological systems.
