The 1500-level intro biology sequence consists of the following courses:
Fall Courses

BIOL BC1501 Introductory Lab in Organismal and Evolutionary Biology
- Co-requisite: BIOL BC 1511 BIOL BC1501 Recitation
Spring Courses

BIOL BC1503 Introductory Lab in Cell and Molecular Biology

All biology majors and minors must complete this sequence before taking upper-level biology courses (BIOL BC2000+). AP and IB exam credit does not exempt students from any component of the intro biology sequence. To ask about transfer course equivalencies, contact the associate chair.
While BIOL BC1500, 1501, 1502, and 1503 are not pre- or co-requisites of each other and may be taken in any order, it is strongly recommended to take BIOL BC1500 and 1501 together in the fall and BIOL BC1502 and 1503 together in the spring
