We are excited to introduce our department’s new curriculum for the Academic Year 2020-21. Students should note that this curriculum includes courses offered over three-semesters (including Summer A/B), as well as several new immersive classes that will be offered over a 7-week period. Semester-long courses have the same structure as in prior years and will be offered for the traditional 14-week period. Our departmental immersive courses will cover a semester’s worth of material in a shorter period of time and will meet for twice as many hours per week, allowing students to take fewer courses at the same time and a more sustained focus on course content. Carefully read the notes associated with each course.
Please note that this schedule may be subject to change, and students are encouraged not only to revisit this page, but also to confirm the course listings in the online CU Directory of Classes. Please contact your major advisor with any questions you may have about your academic schedule. You can also reach out to the department administrator, Sylvia Niemann (sniemann@barnard.edu), with questions.
Ahead of fall 2021 course registration, we hosted Program Planning on March 9th at 10:00 am EDT. We also held a Q&A session introducing the new Computational Biology track on Friday, April 2nd at 11:00 am EDT. Both events were recorded and program planning packets in addition to interactive powerpoints to help guide you through the various major tracks are available on our Major Advising page.
To request access to the recorded videos if you were unable to attend, email Sylvia Niemann.
