Emma joined the Barnard Biology department as an instructor for the introductory biology labs in January 2025. She earned her undergraduate degree in animal science as well as her masters degree in molecular and cellular biology at UMass Amherst. While at UMass she studied cell migration during early embryonic development in Xenopus laevis. During her master's, she worked as a graduate TA teaching introductory biology labs. Prior to joining Barnard, Emma worked as a research associate in biotech where she developed ELISA kits.
