*In order to take any research based course, a Project Approval Form must be submitted to the Department Administrator, Sylvia Niemann (sniemann@barnard.edu), by January 30th via Google Forms. However, students enrolled in the yearlong courses do not need to resubmit this form since the assumption is that they are working on the same project for the duration of the year. Students must enroll in their internal advisor's section after contacting them and confirming that the advisor is taking on Guided Research students. Learn more about academic credit for research on our Undergraduate Research page. |
1BIOL BC3308 Genomics and Bioinformatics was renamed as BIOL BC3308 Introduction to Microbial Genomics as of Spring 2021
2BIOL BC3591–BC3592 & BIOL BC3593-BC3594 are full year courses and can only be taken in a fall to spring sequence. Enrollment in BC3591 or BC3593 were required in fall 2022 in order to enroll in these courses.
